Fall in Cape Cod is a wonderful time to visit the quaint New England town of Famouth. This October is full of great events starting with Beer BBQ which we wrote about in our last blog.
Scroll below to read about two other great October events (Village of Scarecrows & Jazztober).
Need a great place to stay while visiting Falmouth? We suggest any of our Falmouth Bed and Breakfast properties.

Village of Scarecrows

First is the annual Village of Scarecrows, that is hosted by Falmouth Village Association. Every year locals and visitors alike look forward to seeing the creativity unleashed by our restaurants, retail shops, service businesses and bed & breakfasts as they showcase their scarecrows in front of their properties. You will likely see favorite movie or cartoon characters like we have in past years (Minions, Popeye, Edward Scissorhands) as well as unique representations of scarecrows reflective of the business.
Be sure to visit Falmouth Village between October 19th and November 5th and then visit the Falmouth Village Association facebook page to vote for your favorite.

Jazztober

The second great October event we share is Jazztober which is formerly known as Jazzfest and is hosted by ArtsFalmouth.
The festivities this year take place October 20 and 21. This event has been taking place for 12 years and is a true celebration of musical as reflected by local and regional artists.
The weekend kicks off with a FREE Jazzstroll starting at 5 pm on Saturday at the recently restored

On Sunday, October 21st you can continue the Jazz celebration by attending a Jazz Brunch at any one of three Falmouth locations – Coonamesset Inn Pickle Jar Restaurant or Liam Maquire’s.
We hope you enjoy this brief video of a previous Jazzfest group entertaining people at the Falmouth Museums on the Green venue.
