Thanksgiving on Cape Cod is a lovely time of year and marks the beginning of the holiday season with lots of special events. While celebrating Thanksgiving in Falmouth a must see is the annual Holidays at Highfield event which is celebrated from November 28th though December 7th from 10 am until 4 pm everyday.  As in years past there will be a number of traditions that will continue such as the tea shoppe, decorations from local decorators as well as florists and retailers. The gift shop is expanding with incredibly beautiful and one of a kind gifts on hand. The international crèche collection will once again be on display and music entertainment will be announced on the website. Check this link for up to the date event information Holidays at Highfield.

The first weekend in December of December 5-7, also marks the annual Holidays by the Sea celebration in Falmouth. From the 5K Jingle Jog to the Santa Parade there is much to do. A personal favorite is the Holiday Stroll on Saturday December 6th which includes refreshments and music at many of the retail shops and restaurants in Falmouth Village. Stroll along this beautifully decorated stretch of Main Street and Queen Buyway with a culmination of spirit at the Village Green for carols and lighting of the Holiday Tree and other displays.  For Holidays by the Sea information click this link.

Another popular annual holiday event that starts around Thanksgiving is Gardens Aglow at The Heritage Museums and Gardens in nearby Sandwich Cape Cod. This event starts on November 28th and continues through December 28th from 4:30 until 8:30 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. For more information on this event click on this link Gardens Aglow.
